Orange-Cranberry Relish

As a tasty topping for your turkey, this recipe includes two superfoods: cranberries and walnuts!

Skip the gravy and use this relish on your turkey!

It is also good:
…as a side dish, served either hot or warm
…anytime of year to liven up your chicken or fish
…in a pretty jar as a hostess gift

Tip: Prepare this a day or two in advance to avoid the last minute crunch of cooking everything on the big day.

Ingredients

1 med unpeeled navel orange, cut into chunks
1 (12 oz.) package of fresh cranberries
1 c pitted dried dates, chopped
1 large unpeeled granny smith apple, cored and cut into chunks
1 T honey
1/2 c (or to taste) Splenda, or your choice of sweetener
1/2 c Walnuts, chopped (optional)

Directions

Process orange, cranberries, and apple in food processor until finely chopped. Transfer to bowl and mix in dates, honey, sweetener, and walnuts, if desired. Refrigerate for two hours before serving.
