I do not recommend stepping on the scale to anyone; it just gives you a number that messes with your head! My number was 126 today which is not as low I as had hoped. 25 days left and I am not as confident as yesterday that I will be ready for my competition.
I was feeling strong and fresh and had a really good training session. Yet when I stepped on the scale it all came crashing down mentally. As I checked and rechecked the calibration I realized with a sinking feeling that the scale was only one pound off.
Next I came home and downloaded my progress pictures and was not at all happy. Loose and flabby is all I saw.

This is my best pic of today’s bunch and I am not going to share the others! Ew!!
I know we are our own worst critics but I really don’t know if I will be ready in 25 days! I am usually cruising in with minimal changes at this point. This time around I feel like my trainer, Roc Shabazz, is going to have to work some real magic to make it happen.
It doesn’t do any good to whine about it though; it is what it is. I will keep smiling, stay focused and wait to see what happens.
I got my application in for the show this morning and set up a time this weekend for Roc to look at me in my suit. Can’t say I am really looking forward to that!

You know you’re gonna ‘ROCK-IT’ when it comes down to the wire. You always do. Can’t wait to cheer you on at your competition! —TJ
